thingthing Keyboard – iOS App That Provides A Single Interface To Use Multiple Apps At Once

Ed: I was expecting some sort of physical keyboard but turns out this is an App that acts a wrapper or dashboard for many of your common apps and functions, avoiding the need to switch back and forth between apps.

The usability problem is real enough, it is frustrating app/context switching back and forth between apps, it’s not clear if this is a good solution as yet as it is still in limited beta and I was not able to get access.

Startup Name thingthing keyboard What problem are you solving? During a conversation on my iPhone, I had to quit to answer to a client. Basically, a simple yes or no for the rendezvous next week, find the documents he needed [...]

PerkMe – Location Enabled Deals via iBeacons

This is a great idea, I pitched something similar to my team about 9 months ago (but no one was keen).

These guys should be giving these away these iBeacons to every shop in every city that will take one (and also nailing them to power poles and buildings with little solar panels).

No one has an large scale Adwords equivalent ad network for local location aware mobile traffic.

You can [...]

Apple Watch is Missing 5 Critical Health Sensors

The new Apple Watch is sexy, a fantastic engineering implementation, I love it and want one.

Speaking from experience it is no mean feat to build something so small with so much functionality, the power management must be hell, their integration of the chipset into one sealed module is amazing, when you start to build complex products at such small size waterproofing and environmental hardening is the toughest thing to manage.

Only Apple would create a new Alloy, Rubber and Glass to solve the key problems that exist in developing such a product and it is also amazing that they have managed to create from the same basic concept so many variations which will appeal to [...]

Nomad – Battery Pack for Iphone Wall Charger

What is it?

Ideal for travel, it adds a 1500mAh battery to any Apple USB wall plug – and it can charge any smartphone or other USB powered devices. NomadPlus packs enough power to charge your phone 70% after you unplug it from the wall. While NomadPlus takes advantage of the Apple wall charger’s superb design and engineering, its USB port can be used to power up any number of smartphone or tablet devices.

If you are like me you flatten an iPhone battery twice a day. This is a simple but great idea.
