| What problem are you solving? | Herokins is a toy that strongly promotes active play. Our goal is to help cure the disconnect modern technology has brought to modern households. Through a balanced use of technology we’re aiming to increase quality time for parents and children while decreasing screen time. Through the power of stories children develop key skills such as cause/effect relationship or inferential thinking which support and foster the child developmental process. Kids keep pursuing their quest for independence while growing in a responsible way. Not only does the adapting story-concept helps parents to become even better story tellers, it also opens up the gateway to a new, engaging way of teaching kids. |
| What is your solution? | It is a revolutionary wearable toy that takes children (age 3 to 6) into adventures. Herokins are little wearable superheroes that connect to your mobile device, allowing you and your child to interact through captivating stories, bringing magic to everyday situations.Through a speaker and LED lights, the smart-toy creates a relationship with children through a variety of adventures. While playing, children will learn important life lessons and explore the real world around them. Cutting edge technology translates children’s behavior, motions and decisions into a captivating storyline. The most amazing part: Your child’s behavior will influence the storyline, making this his or her very own personal adventure. |

| Tell us about the market & founders, why is this a great opportunity? | Paolo Debellini – CEO & Founder – Paolo is the CEO & Founder of Herokins. Prior to Herokins Paolo has been in the digital communications field in Ireland and Italy where he set up startups focused on social media. One day in 2013, while hiking with his nephew Stefano he had the idea of Herokins. He then sold his house and started this adventure (of learning) from scratch in beautiful San Francisco. |
