| What is your solution? | We have created a social events feed. The feed gives you a list of everything going on around you. It is unconstrained by who is friends with who or whether or not you\’re invited. Populace is all inclusive. |
| Target Market | We are launching at De Montfort University in the UK and feel we will receive the best response from Students as they are naturally outgoing and have a lot of events to share. The app is designed to be all inclusive so ultimately it targets anyone who wants in! |
| How will you make money? | Currently we are looking to build and improve our product. The app is feed based and promotes events so I feel the most likely scenario would be to incorporate advertising or paid promotion within the app. |
| Tell us about the market & founders, why is this a great opportunity? | We believe social media is becoming a more social experience. Apps like Snapchat encourage fleeting one to one private conversations. Tinder has normalized online dating. We are more comfortable than ever with meeting people from the internet. We believe Populace will disrupt the social industry by providing a platform for offline engagement.Populace has two Co-Founders, Matthew Hewett and Sam Barkshire. Matthew comes from a Digital Marketing and Events background. Sam is a fully chartered accountant. |
