| What problem are you solving? | Traffic tickets are the number two revenue generator in California. Most people receive at least one traffic ticket every 18 months. Not only are these tickets very expensive, upwards of $600 for some tickets, but can cause your insurance rates to increase and your license to be suspended if you have too many points on your record. The true cost of one ticket can be as high as $2,700.Many people also drive for a living. Commercial drivers and Uber/Lyft drivers need to keep points off their driving record or their ability to earn a living is in jeopardy. Fighting a traffic ticket is frustrating, confusing, time-consuming, and costly. GetDismissed makes it simple. |
| What is your solution? | Provide California drivers the ability to easily contest a traffic ticket without going to court. We have already created and released our web service and mobile application (version 2.0). You take a picture of your driver’s license and traffic ticket and answer a few simple questions about your traffic ticket. Our system then verifies all submitted information and generates a fully prepared defense so you can contest your traffic ticket by mail, instead of going to the court. This is called a Trial by Written Declaration. You just download and print all your documents, sign them, and mail them to the court. It’s that simple. |

| Tell us about the market & founders, why is this a great opportunity? | The GetDismissed founding team of Steven F. Miller and Alexis Vega, has more than 20 years combined experience contesting traffic tickets in California. Together they have also authored 3 books on fighting traffic tickets available on Amazon. Steven F. Miller has been a featured expert on television, radio, and many online networks related to fighting traffic tickets. Mr. Miller has also founded several other companies including MediaHippo, an interactive agency and was instrumental in promoting and marketing the Kodak Photo CD technology in the 1990’s. Mr. Miller graduated from Cal State University Northridge with a BS in Business and worked for Deloitte and Touche and was a Certified Public Accountant. Ms. Vega graduated from the Colleges of Law, Santa Barbara and Ventura and is a practicing attorney. |
