You might be thinking, “Why can’t people just download a normal ad blocker extension?” Good question! Well, they can. However, YouBlocker gives users 2 other features that we think are great.

1. It comes as a native desktop app with its own dedicated launcher icon so that you can launch the app right from the dock/taskbar. This increases organization and eliminates the need to switch between tabs in order to find the right one. Do you know that feeling when you are just staring at your tabs trying to find the right one? Well yeah, that’s what we’re trying to fix here for YouTube. We believe that tabs are great for general websites but not so much for frequently used web apps like YouTube that people flip back and forth from on a consistent basis.

2. Besides that, YouBlocker also allows the user to use their media control keys on their keyboard to play, pause, and skip videos and songs without having to find YouTube in their web tabs. This can all be done while YouBlocker is in the background. We think this feature will increase efficiency and productivity for the user, and save people time on the things that matter most.
