UAV Outback Challenge – Brisbane UAV – Total Destruction Before & After Photos

I mentioned Jaimyn Mayer the Student from Brisbane in the previous post. What a champion.

I really felt for him, his UAV appeared to lose radio communication during the scrutineering flight and then his aircraft terminated its flight like they are supposed to.

Unfortunately his aircraft was a complete write off but I feel he deserves special mention. All of the other teams had teachers and schools who launched a challenge, this young guy saved up the money himself and ran the challenge all on his own which is an amazing feat.

He also started to rebuild it until the marshalls advised that he could not continue due to the rules. Great effort Jaimyn.

For all of you UAV companies out there, you probably want to introduce yourself to Jaimyn and maybe send him some kit so he can afford to come back next year and then maybe offer him an internship.
