I think Hooks founders are right, notifications are increasingly becoming the new email for apps.

Everyone laughed at Yo when they raised capital, however what I saw was a messaging company who managed to get their app client loaded on 3 million phones in a few weeks and thought it was pretty impressive. It will become a big category.

However it’s not clear Hooks can insert themselves in between Users and their Apps in sufficient quantity to work out how to monetise the app.

That notwithstanding it seems like a really comprehensive set of services to choose from so maybe they have a chance.

Perhaps they need to pair their gateway with Yo’s user base?
