T2 Environmental

Startup Name T2 Environmental
What problem are you solving? The Australian waste management industry is less mature than that of the US and the UK. There is very little recycling happening within the business community and the major waste companies have been able to charge large fees for a long time due to the lack of competition. We launched T2 Environmental to help Australian businesses reduce waste and recycle more as well as to make waste management simple and effective.
What is your solution? T2 Environmental is an Australian-owned waste management and recycling company that provides innovative services and solutions throughout Australia. A new, integrated concept in waste management that saves clients time and money by centralizing all services, while a forward-thinking ethos helps businesses reduce their operational costs through simple and effective environmental initiatives.

Key services include:

– regular waste collections of all types of waste, including clinical and hazardous materials

– commercial cleaning and maintenance services

– full audits of each facility by account managers

– recycling of waste wherever possible

– implementation of waste management policies to reduce waste at source

– advising on current legislation requirements

– consolidated invoicing – one invoice and one report per month

– online reporting and statistics

– customer support by a dedicated team rather than automated phone systems

Target Market Australian Businesses, SME’s, large nationals

Tell us about the market & founders, why is this a great opportunity? T2 Environmental is the second waste management company founded by Graeme Rose. My first company (707) was developed in the UK and grew from nothing to an annual turnover of $10,000,000 in 5 years. We won a number of large national contracts and they are now bringing in around 450 new business contracts every month. We were successful in converting many of our customers to zero waste to landfill.

Prior to 707 I was a director in a regional waste management company in Yorkshire where we ran a fleet of 10 waste collection vehicles and serviced over 2000 sites. We were one of the first companies to start offering commercial recycling in the area.

My interest in the Environment started at a young age and I always dreamt of being a weatherman. Instead I completed an Environmental Management degree at Lancaster University and became a bin man!
