There is very little recycling happening within the business community and the major waste companies have been able to charge large fees for a long time due to the lack of competition. | Tell us about the market & founders, why is this a great opportunity? | T2 Environmental is the second waste management company founded by Graeme Rose. My first company (707) was developed in the UK and grew from nothing to an annual turnover of $10,000,000 in 5 years. We won a number of large national contracts and they are now bringing in around 450 new business contracts every month. We were successful in converting many of our customers to zero waste to landfill. Prior to 707 I was a director in a regional waste management company in Yorkshire where we ran a fleet of 10 waste collection vehicles and serviced over 2000 sites. We were one of the first companies to start offering commercial recycling in the area. My interest in the Environment started at a young age and I always dreamt of being a weatherman. Instead I completed an Environmental Management degree at Lancaster University and became a bin man! |
