Weirdly – Cultural Recruitment Web App – Pitch your Startup

Recruitment sucks, trying to wade through a mountain of resumes or Linkedin profiles is a broken process. This seems like a unique take on the problem, how to organise and shortlist the best candidates based on cultural fit in the organisation.

Once upon a time, in another life, running my first business our record for job applications topped 300 for a single job, all of which were seemingly qualified applicants. We then proceeded to interview about 30 of them, took over a week for one job and many were a waste of time.

Fast growing startups can’t afford to have key personnel lost on one job hire for a week. This is a real problem.

If Weirdly and their customers can convince the candidates to do the legwork it sounds like great B2B play.

What problem are you solving?

When you’re recruiting, identifying candidates with the right skills is the easy part. What’s much harder, and more important, is how they fit with your business vision and your team. That’s the difference between an awesome employee and an expensive one.

Traditional Recruitment is hard, expensive no fun for businesses OR candidates. CV’s don’t tell you much about a person, they drown your inbox in attachments and it’s really hard to filter through and build a short-list on info like “where you went to school”.

What is your solution?
Using a fun, customised quiz, Weirdly ranks candidates against your ideal ‘match’. It automatically turns a long list into a shortlist, while also managing things like CVs, video applications and applicant photos all through a simple dashboard.
It isn’t just faster and more fun, it also gives candidates a taste of your company culture, before they’ve even applied.
Why is this a great opportunity?
With Weirdly’s customisable recruitment software you’ll reduce the stress, time and expense that’s normally involved in recruiting team members. You’ll also make it way more fun – leaving a great impression on the candidate market (even with unsuccessful applicants).
Target Market

With monthly subscription rates that will suit all sizes of business, Weirdly can be used in a wide range of industries – from accounting firms and high-end fashion retailers to tech start-ups.

We also have a FREE version that’s perfect for small businesses.

How will you make money?

We have a range of monthly subscription rates based on the number of jobs and candidates. Our most basic plan though, is free.

Users choose the sub that fits them best, and then can also buy top-up packs of candidates if they find their recruitment campaigns are more popular than they expected!
