Elevator Pitch: Just one tap in this mobile application allows strangers next to each other to contact one another via Bluetooth quickly and safely – either by taking a portrait photo of a nearby person directly or by picking it from the gallery of accessible users. Its features: instant messaging, contact info, trustworthy businesscard/badge + much more. It can be used in public places (cafes, restaurants, night clubs) as a meeting/dating service for people, who are too shy to speak first to a stranger. People can share own portrait photos and/or see faces of people around, initiate a short chat and even more: one can ask a requesting party some predefined question – a teaser – before any further interactions continue.
There is another scenario: employees usually wear badges, but who can be sure of their authenticity? Yet people are often compelled to believe them and even let a stranger into the home (when interacting with utilities, for instance). This app is a simple but anonymous tool to check if the person you are dealing with is a valid employee of a certain organization, even when that person is outside the door.
