Ed: Seems like a useful idea but in this day of constant hacks of photo sharing storage accounts I believe the world is increasingly dubious of storing photos to the cloud with some unknown untrusted service.

Also storage is getting cheaper and people end up replacing their phones when they start running out of space.

Not sure that the most compelling benefit a user wants is smaller photos, not convinced users will adopt just that for so hard to imagine it replacing other photo apps with far more compelling imagery features.

Startup Name FotoFox
What problem are you solving? Users run out of space
What is your solution? When you use FotoFox to take a photo, FotoFox compresses the photo into a smaller version, which takes less than 10% of the space compared to the full-size one. The smaller version is perfect for browsing on the phone or sharing to Facebook or Instagram. FotoFox will also upload the full-size version onto a private cloud server, so that you can download the full-size one to your phone anytime you want!
Target Market Moms, dads, teenagers, young adults, photographers, food lovers
